Riiid’s ‘REAL ACADEMY’ achieves 60% average monthly transaction growth… strengthening its position in the education market

Riiid (CEO Sooyoung Park)’s AI elementary English service, ‘REAL ACADEMY,’ has been expanding its presence in the elementary English education market, recording an average monthly growth rate of about 60% (based on transaction volume) since its official launch last December.
REAL ACADEMY recorded transaction volumes of approximately KRW 380 million in January and approximately KRW 600 million in February, and is projected to exceed KRW 1 billion in March.
Officially launched in December 2024, REAL ACADEMY is an output-focused learning service specialized in strengthening English speaking and writing skills. Through AI-based personalized learning services, it helps learners feel less burdened by mistakes, stay engaged, and successfully build self-directed learning habits.
In particular, REAL ACADEMY’s key strength lies in its English writing classes conducted in a 1:1 conversational format with the AI tutor ‘LIA.’ By communicating with LIA, students can freely express their thoughts and naturally internalize English as they convert them into English. In addition, the service precisely analyzes each learner’s individual level and provides real-time feedback to maximize learning outcomes.
Furthermore, real-time live classes with native-speaking instructors provide opportunities to use in practice the sentences students have practiced in writing classes, helping them apply their English skills in real situations. In addition, animation-based learning and game-based review sessions with peers reinforce everyday English expressions, effectively improving English usage skills and practical fluency.
